How does music monitoring work?

Upload a reference track and we generate an acoustic fingerprint from it (chroma-based, via fpcalc locally + ACRCloud lookup). Our scanners then poll YouTube and SoundCloud continuously — every new video or track is compared against your catalog. When a match lands, an alert appears in your dashboard within hours, with a direct link, the infringer’s channel, and a confidence score.

What platforms do you monitor?

YouTube (including Shorts) and SoundCloud are fully automatic today — the two platforms where unlicensed beat use and stolen sync are most common. We additionally scan TikTok and Instagram Reels for video-embedded audio via the same fingerprinting pipeline as soon as the per-platform fetcher env vars (TIKTOK_VIDEO_FETCH_URL, INSTAGRAM_VIDEO_FETCH_URL) are configured in deployment — until they are, the Video embedded branch silently no-ops with a "fetcher not configured" status so the gap is visible in your dashboard without false negatives. Spotify audio matching is on the Part 2 roadmap.

What happens when someone uses my beat without permission?

Every match shows up in your dashboard with a direct link to the infringing content, the infringer’s channel, a timestamp, and a confidence score. From there you pick the action: file a one-click DMCA takedown, or generate a sync license and turn that unauthorized use into paid revenue.

Can I approve takedowns manually before they’re sent?

Yes — every DMCA notice is composed by LicenseTrack and shown to you in your dashboard before anything is submitted. You get one-click controls: "Approve & send" to file the takedown as-is, "Edit" to tweak the notice text, or "Discard" to throw it away if you change your mind. Nothing goes out without your explicit approval.

How does a DMCA takedown work?

Open the match you want to act on and click "File DMCA".
